The University of Szeged and Semmelweis University in Budapest both produce dentists who routinely lecture across Europe. German-speaking staff are standard; English is universal. Budapest is a 50-minute flight from Munich or a 2h30 drive from Vienna, making it the most logistically friendly option for German and Austrian patients who prefer to drive. Beyond dentistry, Budapest has a growing aesthetic surgery sector — rhinoplasty €2,800–€3,600, breast augmentation €3,500–€4,800 — anchored by surgeons trained at Semmelweis. Hungarian VAT on dental work is zero for non-residents, and most clinics will issue invoices in the format required by German PKV insurers.
